One-A-Day-Painting: Lavender

I have a very small lavender plant on my front porch and the flowers were finally dry enough to pick. They smell amazing. I’m not sure if theres any use in putting them in water, since they’re basically dried up, but it looks nice that way. Anyway, for my daily painting today, they were it!

– My parameters are to sell these on ebay with a starting bid of $1/sq. inch.We’ll start with that, see how it goes.

I wanted to do a racing image because I have an uncle who really loves horse racing. I see a lot of running images, but wanted something with more thought to it. This is what I came up with.

Polo Rider #2

SOLD

This image makes me think of a dark, cozy library, or a cigar lounge. Something you’d see at the polo club. I’m very excited with how this turned out. I like the masculinity of the painting. I’m not a fan of using green, but forced myself to take the plunge.
